Ryn in numbers
The municipality Ryn covers an area of 204.54 km2, of which more than 115 km2 (56%) are arable land, 52.25 km2 (25%) - a forest areas and nearly 22 km2 (approx. 10%) occupy the water (lakes and channels). Urban area takes 5.84 km2, with over 4 km2 takes Ryn. Ryn has 3015 inhabitants (Jan.2015), which accounts for half of all the inhabitants of the municipality (5994 people in 2014.), the rest of inhabitants reside 32 villages (Bachorza, Canki, Dzikowizna (uninhabited), Głąbowo, Grzybowo, Hermanowa Wola, Jeziorko, Knis, Knis-Podewsie, Kronowo, Krzyżany, Ławki, Ławki PGR, Mioduńskie, Mleczkowo, Monetki, Mrówki, Orło, Prażmowo, Rybical, Ryn Kolonia, Ryński Dwór, Ryńskie Pole, Siejkowo, Skop, Skorupki, Słabowo, Stara Rudówka, Sterławki Wielkie, Szymonka, Tros, Wejdyki i Zielony Lasek). The population density of the municipality is 29.3 people / km2 and is almost half less than the average population density across the Warmia-Mazury (60 people / km2). In contrast, the Ryn has a population density 737.16 inhabitants / km2.
